Print Labels for Laser Printers
The labels are packed as a sets of 3 A4 sheets. They are already perforated. The labels can be individually peeled off and easily stick to the metal plant labels. For designing on your PC, we also offer you free MS Word print templates with the matching label grids.
For the use of the labels please note our application instructions. Our recommendations we pass on the basis of our personal experiences. The application environments of our customers are so numerous and diverse (climate, fertilization, location, materials used, etc.), so that we cannot propose a specific way of labeling. We recommend to label first only 1-2 signs and let them several days or weather periods (rain, sun) in the garden. This may help you to find out which kind of labeling is best for you.
Some of our labeled plant markers have already been used for the fifth season without any significant loss of quality in our own test garden.
a) Please only use a laser printer with the recommended original color.
b) At the latest after several years the image will fade due to UV light and weather exposure, as there is no color, which is 100% resistant to light or other permanent environmental influences.
I can be a good solution to treat the plant markers with a clear coat (possibly UV varnish, water spar varnish) after you have written on it.
It is also a good way to print one label and then stick them with another transparent film for protection. Or you label the plant markers by hand (e.g. with a permanent marker) and then stick a transparent foil over it. Both significantly extend the durability of the label.
Furthermore, the zinc metal labels can be engraved with a Dremel by a professional engraver. Maybe this is also a good alternative for you.
